VCL introduces its VCL-2724, Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP) Switch is based on the concurrent transmission of duplicated data on two parallel links, simultaneously, to ensure that data is transferred between the two PRP nodes with zero packet loss. VCL-2724, Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP) Switch is designed to provide seamless recovery, with zero packet loss, in the event of failure of either of the transmission links between two PRP nodes.

VCL-2724, provides a unique solution with no single point of failure. The VCL-2724, PRP equipment itself never becomes a point of failure, even in the event of power failure. It automatically reverts to and reconnects on the “primary link” in the power down condition. VCL enters into a 4 year Rate Contract for Bulgarian Power Utility ESO EAD

VCL’s enters into 4 year rate contract under a frame agreement with the engineering major, Balkantel OOD for Bulgarian state-owned Power Utility ESO EAD, for supply and installation of its power utility products and solutions for the contract awarded to Balkantel OOD.

VCL-2705, GPS Receiver with IRIG-B and Time Distribution Unit

The VCL-2705, GPS Receiver and Time Distribution Unit is a low cost and high-performance GPS Receiver with multiple IRIG-B outputs which provides sub-microsecond accuracy. The VCL-2705 is designed to provide 1 x IRIG-B (BNC) output, 1 x IRIG-B RS-485 (differential pair with multi-drop capability to support up to 16 RTUs) and 1 x RS-232 (twisted pair) output. Unit also provides one external dry relay alarm contact.

The relay has a rating of 5 Amps (amperes) and a maximum 250V DC, which can be connected to an external alarm such as a piezoelectric buzzer or an DC powered (LED) lamp and can be wired up for either NO or NC contact.

The far-end unit receives the Ethernet data and re-converts it back to an IEEE C37.94 Interface. The VCL-2711 units must be always used in pairs, with one unit installed on each end of the Ethernet / IP / MPLS link. The VCL-2711 meets and complies with the IEC-61850-3, EMI, EMC, Surge and Temperature specifications making it suitable for sub-station installations to provide uninterrupted service even in the most demanding and harsh environments.

VCL-2143, MouseTrαp^TM IP Network Intrusion Detector

• The Network-MouseTrαp^TM alerts the network administrator of an intrusion / cyber-attack in real-time.
• Generates an audio and visual alarm upon detecting a hostile presence in the network.

VCL-2457, Smart Rack Management Unit

• Monitors the Rack Temperature in 3 separate temperature zones in a rack and alerts network administrator the user defined temperature threshold is exceeded in any zone.
• Controls the operation of up to 3 rack-ventilation fans (or their multiples) by switching ON / switching OFF, as required. Extends fan MTBF life. Extends equipment MTBF life by alerting against over-heating due to failure of ventilation fans. Alerts if any of the rack fans fail; or if it is not operating at its specified RPM and requires service / replacement.
• Includes “6” binary inputs for monitoring up to 6 dry contact relay open loop / closed loop inputs. These inputs can be also connected to equipment alarm; rack-door open alarm; smoke alarm etc.

VCL-2424-D, DIN-Rail Mount version Primary Reference Clock (PRC), IEEE-1588v2 PTP Grandmaster, GPS NTP Time Server is a ruggedized GNSS (GPS/GLONASS), ITU-T G.811 compliant solution to provide a highly precise time and frequency reference outputs. Applications include synchronization of 2G, 3G, 4G / LTE, 5G services in harsh environments.

It may be also used by railways and metro signalling infrastructure, airports and air-traffic control facilities, solar farms, wind-farms, electric sub-stations, power distribution infrastructure, off-shore oil and gas rigs and naval vessels that are required to operate in complete isolation due to the very nature of their application, geographical location, or due to security reasons.

VCL-2710, C37.94 to Optical Converter

The VCL-2710, IEEE C37.94 to Optical Converter / C37.94 Optical Repeater is a ruggedized, sub-station-hardened converter which converts IEEE C37.94 Multi-Mode signal to Optical Single Mode Optical signal. VCL-2710, IEEE C37.94 to Optical Converter includes the clock receiver, clock generation and clock re-generation functions which allows it to transmit the IEEE C37.94 Multi-Mode signal over a Single-Mode optical fiber link of up to 90 Miles / 150 Kms. VCL-2710 is designed for use in point-to-point applications. The VCL-2710 meets and complies with the IEC-61850-3, EMI, EMC, Surge and Temperature specifications making it suitable for sub-station installations to provide uninterrupted service even in the most demanding and harsh environments.

Data Encryption, Router and Firewall Equipment

Valiant’s Enigmätron-C is an integrated router, firewall and data encryption equipment with extremely advanced features that may be installed to secure critical infrastructure such as Sub-Stations, Smart Grid Distribution Systems, Airport and Railway IT Networks as well as Financial Infrastructure such as Banks and Payment Processing Gateways. The Enigmätron-C may also be installed in centrally managed networks consisting of multiple branch offices and edge locations to provide secure communications between ATMs, Point-Of-Sale Terminals and their corresponding back-end Central Servers.

Access to Enigmätron-C is password protected with advanced firewall capabilities that meet and exceed NERC as well as all mandatory requirements of Password Protection and Control as provided in the GR-815-CORE-2 specifications. VCL-2112, PTP Slave Clock is a high precision, high reliability time and frequency synchronization solution which can be used to synchronize with an IEEE-1588v2 PTP Grandmaster to provide reference frequency and time-of-day synchronization across all nodes of a PTP network. Multiple 1PPS / IRIG-B Outputs are also provided to synchronize local clock (time-of-day) display units as well as RTUs to a central timing source with nanosecond accuracy.

The VCL-2112, PTP Slave Clock is specifically designed for the synchronization of 2G, 3G and LTE mobile telecommunications networks as well as backhaul wire-line TDM Networks. It may be also used by Railways, Airports (including air-traffic control), power generation and distribution companies and other utility companies who need to distribute highly precise time-of-day and frequencies locked to a PTP Grandmaster (GPS) Reference across all nodes of their networks.

The VCL-2709, IEEE C37.94 to E1 Converter is a ruggedized and robust, sub-station-hardened protocol converter which converts IEEE C37.94 data to E1 data. VCL-2709 supports point-to-point applications.

The VCL-2709 meets and complies with the IEC-61850-3, EMI, EMC, Surge and Temperature specifications making it suitable for sub-station installations to provide uninterrupted service even in the most demanding and harsh environments.

VCL-2750, PTP Slave Clock (DIN Rail Version)

VCL-2750, PTP Slave Clock (DIN Rail Version) is a high precision, high reliability time and frequency synchronization solution which can be synchronized from a IEEE-1588v2 PTP Grandmaster to provide frequency and time-of-day synchronization across a PTP network with nanosecond accuracy. Multiple 1PPS / IRIG-B Outputs are provided to synchronize local clock (time-of-day) to IEDs, as well as RTUs to a central timing source.

The VCL-MX Version 6 DXC 80 T1, 120Mbps Digital Access Cross Connect Switch, is a modular switch that may be scaled from 8 T1 Ports to up to 80 T1 Ports. The VCL-MX Version 6, T1 DACS (T1 DXC) offers full cross-connect functionality to cross-connect between 64Kbps time-slots (DS-0s), “n"x64 Kbps consecutive DS-0s and Fractional T1 channels to full T1 channels.
